Contact Youth Ministry

My name is Bradley Barnes and I am so excited to have the opportunity to work with the young men and women of our parish community. If you are a youth, a parent, or prospective volunteer, I'd love to talk with you and get to know you and your family. Please feel free to contact me at the email or phone number listed, or take a moment to visit our parish's youth ministry page (link to the right).

A Guide to Confession

This is a great explanation of why we bring our sins to the Sacrament of Reconciliation! Remember that Lent is a great time to be reconciled with God, and Confession is offered at our parish every Saturday from 3-4pm!

Promo for "Encounter" High School Event this weekend

This video serves as a great introduction to the event "Encounter" that will be this weekend on Saturday, November 22nd (for current high school youth). Contact Bradley if you or your child would like to attend. There will also be opportunities to serve others and the parish earlier in the day: St. Vincent de Paul food pantry from 9:30am-10:30am and taking down the crosses from the front lawn in the afternoon.

What's Turkey Bowling?

Here's a school that used Turkey Bowling last year to raise money, food and awareness for food pantries. We'll do it a bit differently, but the idea is the same. Here are the items that our food pantry at GA needs the MOST right now:

  • Mac and Cheese

  • Boxes of Stuffing

  • Instant Potatoes
Any items will be accepted, but those are most appreciated!

This Weekend (Nov. 14th-16th)

We will have our first ever Turkey Bowling competition in the Undercroft from 1-3pm. Join us to see what in the world this event is all about (event is for 6th-8th grade youth).

Also, next weekend will be a huge event for our high school youth called Encounter, so make sure to spread the word!

This Weekend

Just as a reminder: There is a Bonfire and Pumpkin Roll this evening with the seminarians! We'll be meeting at the firepit at 7pm, roll some old jack-o-lanterns (bring your own, please), do a bonfire, drink hot chocolate, make s'mores, and have the option to pray in the Church for vocations afterwards. Families are welcome, and this will be an excellent opportunity to meet some of our youth workers! This event is open to Middle School AND High School!

Also, tomorrow is Chosen: Called to be More for 6-8 grade. If you have not yet gotten in touch with Bradley at [email protected] regarding you or your child attending, you must do so immediately to ensure that there is adequate transportation! Thanks!
